WHITE CLAY is extracted from quarries near the town of NOCERA UMBRA, province of Perugia. Extraction takes place in summer, then there is a preliminary refining to eliminate stones and impurities.
It is taken in sacks to the laboratory, washed in a special tank, collected and put through a filter press. The refined cakes of clay are removed from the filter press and transformed into very fine powder. This process enables the clay to maintain all those characteristics that has made it famous in the cosmetic world since 1600.
